Judging by my absence of posts, I gather that most of you have concluded that I've been quite busy, and indeed I have. 25 hours of uni a week tends to do that to you...but hey, that's the life of an engineer undergrad! Prioritising your life is so ridiculous when you only have very few precious hours to spare during the week.
Even in the span of 1 week, I can't see everyone I'd like to see, eat with my family as much as I'd like to (usually coming back to a cold lonely left-over dinner) or go out and enjoy myself as much as I'd like to. I guess maybe everyone feels this way, or maybe others have found this balance, but for an engineer it really is quite tough (especially if said engineers have really crap timetables >__<) and I haven't even mentioned the endless stream of work we get! Although my bad procrastination habits never die ( I've finished MGS4 and GTA4 ironically, during the first week of uni, and am now working my way through Super Mario Galaxy!) and so I now stand 2 weeks behind already in the second week of uni. My Sunday is going to be really fun =]
Yea I know I'm always complaining about the same old things, but it's usually always on my mind, because it ends up affecting everything else I do (or don't do).
Random Happenings
>On the plus side of being single and working, my wallet tends to fill up v quickly since I have no medium of money expenditure apart from travel and food. Woo! =D
>I just discovered that my sexy VAIO is made of carbon fibre (i think...) and has an awesome solid state hard drive! Which differs from a normal hard drive in that it has no moving parts, meaning it's really just a really big flash drive, meaning :
-faster access to files,
-increased robustness,
-lighter weight and
-no loud whirring sounds!
No wonder it was 2k =O and my TZ36 model isnt even out in Australia yet...according to the Australian PDF catalogue. Go Sony!!
>There's nothing quite like driving in your car in the middle of the night on empty roads, with your fave music getting pumped out by awesome speakers and thinking about life =]
>The Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony was nothing short of absolutely spec-fucking-tacular!!! Those stunning performances has never made me feel more proud of belonging to such a great, talented and culturally rich nation.
>Must avoid future bouts of diarrhoea-blogging! Sorry for the bursts of really long posts...I should really get over that habit, but its hard to find time to blog =P
To conclude, here's a ripper of a quote from Matty some years ago in high school about procrastination -
"Procrastination is like masturbation - at first it feels good, but afterwards, you realise you've just fucked yourself!"Classic xD
