Ahh who can resist that time of the year where entire shopping centres go on sale? I sure couldn't this year, and with the $1000 government grant, it sure didn't make it any easier for me to hold back =P. After only 2 days. . . my wardrobe is already getting full again, and yet another ps3 game makes it into my collection. I'm a real sucker for $50 PS3 game sales! Rest assured, I've done my bit for the economy this holidays!
here's the breakdown-
$469 - gym membership
$084 - 4GB RAM
$285 - lots of clothes
$075 - EB Games
$813 all up
Thanks Rudd =P
back to saving up now...@__@
I dont think I've told anyone, but for the past few days my right wisdom tooth has been giving me a lot of pain. It hurts when I'm not doing anything, it hurts when I wake up in the morning, and it hurts the most when I try eating with the right side of my mouth (almost impossible to avoid). Over the past few days I haven't had time to go to the dentist, and being Christmas and all, it's been closed and all that, so my only option was to grin and bear the pain. SM-33 doesn't seem to do anything, and I'll just have to wait another day for my dentist to patch me up.
This morning, I realised, in quite a corny way, that this was pretty similar to have your heart broken...
Only you can feel it, it's always around, and all you can do is try to get used to the pain - that numbing you have to go through to get you through the day, and the brave face you put on to hide it. Sure, there are things you can do to try to alleviate it, but ultimately, there is only one person who can make the pain go away.
Haha, quite an emo post in the season of jolly-ness, but what the heck =]
On a cheerier note, I was punk'd hard by my bro and his gf for Christmas!
They gave our whole family presents, all in small boxes but all containing something nice. I was brushing my teeth when I saw my bro walk past with a huge wrapped up present and he pointed out that it was mine. To my joy, I rushed off to open it, and then to my sudden dismay, found nothing inside but a whole heap of shredded newspaper and a 20c coin wrapped up in one of them . . . pwnd =P
I had lots of fun this Christmas both with my family at a BBQ and at Cam's house party - what I believe to be a good balance between family and friends. It was good to see that even though it was Christmas, everyone was still as cheery as any other time of the year =D
Catch you all later for my new years post!
So I noticed I haven't been blogging much in the holiz...which is quite ironic since I haven't really been doing much. Most of it has been spent watching scrubs and other drama series >__>;;; and going out on a whim on last minute phone calls. Last week i only ate dinner at home twice, Monday and Sunday. which is probably my record so far!
Since I've been out and about, usually with mates, the only thing I really had to blog about was a boring ol recount of the day, which isn't even worth the effort! So what now? Well, I'm going to kick-start my new year's resolution by signing up to 6 months of gym membership down at fitbodz to FINALLY get into better shape which I had planned since after HSC. . . and I'm going to pay for it myself just so I can stay committed to my plan and not feel like I'm flushing $600 which I slaved away for, down the toilet.
Surprisingly, both my ps3 and wii have been gathering dust, but due to lack of games. My wii's getting 'modified' soon and that should sweeten up the playtime on it =D I just don't think many Wii games warrant their hefty price tags. PS3 games on the other hand, are getting my $80 a pop, but the fact is it's the only way to play games (i.e. can't be pirated =[ )
All in all, these holiz seem like a biiig biig waste of time which I hope I will use more productively in later years, but as of now, I think I'd enjoy this lazing around more.
Nothin' like drifting through life while you still can . . . =D
