Stupid mobile...keep's giving me problems lately. Sometimes sms's dont get sent, and so I have to restart the phone before it works again. Sometimes I have "No access to network" which means another restart to get it working and wonder whether or not anyone called me during that no reception lapse. Then this morning...somehow my sms service centre number got deleted(wtf??) and I couldnt send any sms's...so I hard resetted my phone in a rage...before realising I hadn't backed up ANY of my contacts...damn it...
Please bear with me if I reply to an sms asking who you are...because I probably won't have your number anymore X(Ah holidays! My mum booked a trip to the Gold Coast on Jan 11th for a week or so, and apart from that I'll be looking to find a holiday job to save up some cash for epic internship expenses in second year and such. Hanging out with friends up til now has been mostly done on the fly, and I've been sleeping in too much...must change that habit. The outlook for next week though seems pretty packed! So I'm looking forward to next week, especially with the road trip coming up!
Thanks to Yi for the new layout...as a shout-out to mac OSX Leopard...and all its sexiness and glory =] and no doubt a more technological backdrop to my rantings which are often of this nature =P
Thanks again for everyone who came out on my bday party day...you all made it a special day for me =]
Gotta pick up a regular work out routine as well...gotta stay active! 'til next time!
Never in my 19 years on this earth have I had so many heartfelt birthday messages within like the span of an hour! It was so touching...i love you all =D. I couldn't have wished for better friends! I can't wait to see you all at my party! =D *prays for good weather*
Today my TV tuner arrived in the mail! By a happy coincidence, the first thing which graced my glorious 24 inch screen was the winning speech by future US president Barack Obama!
Having studied Speeches for my English HSC, it was inspiring to sit there and watch in awe as he delivered his uplifting address to the nation. The camera would occasionally snap to a totally supportive crowd, teary-eyed and revelling in every word he said, cheering him on all the way! His speech even moved me to the brink of tears - his dictation was truly masterful. To have sit through and watched it makes you feel like you've just witnessed history in the making, like the world will be different tomorrow - just that feel of grandeur!
He is the next Martin Luther King Jr.! In fact right now I'm watching a montage of MLK and Obama snippets during their famous speeches. One African-American woman made an interesting comment - "
Martin Luther King had a dream. Barack Obama is living the dream!" I hope his leadership, despite his lack of experience in politics, will help out the US and get the world economy back into shape! O-BA-MA!
btw - the HD channels on this lil baby are RIPPER!! It even makes Neighbours and Home and Away worth watching! Just for the level of details...hahaha.
Sigh...I'm screwed for physics tomorrow...><
